We take a structured approach to web design. Our development process was created to ensure that every project is delivered on time and within budget.
Once your web design project kicks off, here’s what to expect:
1. Initial Planning
While most of the initial planning has been completed from the sitemap, we will still need to discuss and cover the final details of what is required and to understand where we need to get content from you, the client.
During this part of the process we’ll typically look at designs you like, the colours you want to use, what will work well with your brand and what type of information and content will be supplied by whom.
We’ll also determine the relevant dates for reviews and feedback on the site based on when you want to launch it. Typically this entails that we determine and decide on the following:
- Brief and initial planning meetingÂ
- Round 1: Preliminary design
- Round 2: Review & Changes
- Round 3: Review & Changes
- Launch/ Completion dateÂ
We understand that you want to launch your new website tomorrow. Please note that we also want that. We need your input to make it work, so talk to us if you’re unsure of anything.Â
2. Design/ development
At the same time, we’ll kick off the technical side of the web design process. This will include the setup of a development WordPress environment, and installing all required plugins and features.
Once this is completed we would then start building the website’s layout and work on the finer details.Â
3. Testing
Once the website development has been completed we will get to work testing your site’s performance and reliability. We’ll use various tools to benchmark your site for loading, responsiveness, and speed, while also ensuring that it works reliably on all web browsers and mobile devices.
We will also ensure that all old website links are still active and that there are no missing pages from go live and we will inform Google of the changes. This is a critical element for Search Engine Optimisation.
The website will be made available to the you, the client, during various stages of the development and the testing period to ensure your satisfaction with the proposed website.
4. Deployment & Optimization
Once all parties are satisfied with the final layout of the website then we will launch the site.Â
80Twenty Online Marketing will be available for any small changes or future requirements. If the required changes are as a result of small bugs then this will be resolved as a matter of priority.Â
Should the changes be outside of the scope of development that was done or new additions or features then 80Twenty Online Marketing will quote for the new development/ design
